This yurt holiday in Spain offers total seclusion in the Sierra Bermeja mountains an hour from the Costa Del Sol. A solitary yurt within 17 acres of farm land, accommodation is comfortable and comes complete with hammocks, river pools and breath-taking views.

About an hour inland from the sandy beaches of Andalucia’s Costa del Sol, lies the little-known Sierra Bermeja mountain range. Located so close to the tourist sites of this part of the Spain, the mountains hold many of Andalucia’s best kept secrets, with hills and valleys dotted with white-washed villages, fresh mountain streams and breath-taking views. The pace of life here is slow and relaxed and a far cry from the bright lights of the coast. Griffon vultures circle overhead, whilst sunrise brings stunning colours to the mountains, accompanied by the calls of cuckoos and hammering of woodpeckers. In the villages, local tapas bars serve regional specialities and people go about their business at a sedate pace.

Set in complete seclusion, on 17 acres of farmland, this yurt provides the ultimate relaxing and off the beaten track accommodation in an idyllic location. The farm enjoys a scenic setting in the mountains, with forests of cork oak, olive and chestnut trees, interspersed with orange and lemon tree groves. The yurt is in a peaceful setting, away from the farm buildings, with breath-taking views. When the sun becomes too much, there are hammocks set up in the shade. There are also fresh water streams at the edge of the farm, about a 20 – 25 minute walk away, where you can take a dip in one of the river pools to cool off.

Away from the tranquility of the farm, there are many places of interest to visit within easy reach. The stunning historical town of Ronda is about an hours drive, the beaches of Estepona are just over an hour by car and Seville is 2.5 hours away.
