The now famous Encuentros de Arte 2012 will this year kick off in the white washed village of Genalguacil during the first 2 weeks of August. The event is hosted every 2yrs and the narrow streets are literally littered with sculptures.

Artists are invited from all over the world to come & create sculptures, paintings and installations while in residence during the festival. Its an event that shouldn’t be missed with plenty of hands on activities, concerts, flamenco dancing & workshops for children & adults.

Cloud House Farm is ideally placed to enjoy the festivities, and then at the end of the day retreat back to a private haven amongst the trees.

Zashe was born on 8th September 2009 and he’s been at the SOS Children’s Village Waterfalls since August 2011 just short of his 2nd birthday. We have learnt already that he’s fanatical about football.

He was brought to the school as his parents were not in a position to care for him. With your help he’s now found a permanent home where he can grow up safely, go to school and receive an education. He will be cared for by a specially trained foster mother and have a stable & loving family background.

We plan to write to Zashe and tell him of his friends at Cloud House Farm, send him photos and drawing (by our son Fede 4yrs). We will also keep you, our guests updated on how Responsible Glamping can make that difference.

Cloud House can be reached in a regular car, but it can be so much more fun in an SUV!
This company economycarrentals.com offers a selection of SUV and 4×4 cars at reasonable prices. They have a section to select SUV’s during the booking process. If you intend to rent a regular 2wd car (as most of our guests do) we recommend shorter wheel base cars such as hatch backs rather than low slung saloons. Small SUV’s such as Renault Captur, Fiat Panda, Ford Kuga, Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage or similar have high road clearance and its wise to take out the extra insurance to protect the underside.

If you plan to holiday at Cloud House Farm during May, September or October we do recommend that you rent a proper 4×4 as rain can be expected. In the main you’ll have no problem reaching us in a regular rental car, but a 4×4 can add another exciting dimension to your holiday experience allowing you to explore many more of the back roads. Suzuki Jimny’s can be rented at very competitive prices, equal to regular hatchbacks.
